Erik Hagstedt , known by the pseudonym Legion , is a Swedish singer of Black metal.
He began his career singing in Ophthalamia before joining Marduk in 1995. He participated with this group in the recording of albums Heaven Shall Burn ... When We Are Gathered, Live In Germania, Nightwing, Marduk Panzer Division, Obedience, Infernal Eternal, The Great Macabre Dance, World Funeral and the Funeral Marches and War Songs live DVD. He has contributed to the success and fame of Marduk thanks to an identifiable voice and quite particular in this kind of music.
On December 9, 2003, he announced his departure from the group without explanation. Morgan Hakansson (guitarist and band leader) found him sympathetic to the audience, which proved incompatible with the hate messages conveyed by this music.
