The Black crowes

The Black Crowes is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. It is formed in 1989 and dissolved in 2015.

Their southern rock is heavily influenced by pioneers such as The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, but also largely rooted in the music of Faces, groups from the 1960s-1970s such as the Rolling Stones (Mick Taylor period) or even Led Zeppelin. Their influences are also directed to The Velvet Underground which they will make some occasions like that of the song Oh! Sweet Nuthin, but who will get closer yet again the southern style.

In 1990, Rolling Stone's readers named them "Best New American Band" . The group ranks 92> in the list of "100 best hard rock bands" established by VH1>. They have more than 30 million albums sold worldwide and are recognized by Melody Maker as "largest rock'n'roll band in the world" .

It was in 1984 that the first incarnation of the band was born under the name Mr. Crowe's Garden in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially, the band clung to the Blues Rock celebration of the 1970s. Although the group has always had a high turn over throughout its history, the group's driving force has always been refocused on the Robinson brothers (Chris and Rich Robinson). In 1989, the group, which is visibly inspired by bands such as Buddy Guy, Otis Redding, and Humble Pie, made a cassette tape demo signed at American Recordings (known at the time as Def American).
