Massive Attack is a British band from Bristol, a forerunner of trip hop music. It consists of Robert Del Naja (3D), Grant Marshall (Daddy G) and Andrew Vowles (Mushroom). The style of the band is constantly evolving: at the beginning, close to hip-hop, groove, and even soul, it goes on to cover electronic music, and a more electric sound at the end of the 1990s. Each album is enriched. by numerous collaborations and the systematic participation of Horace Andy.

The group also collaborated with the musician Adrian Thaws (Tricky), who left the group in 1994, after the release of the album Protection. In disagreement with the evolution of the musical style, Mushroom also left the group, at the exit of the album Mezzanine, in 1998.

The band has released 5 albums from 1991 to 2010, as well as several remix, singles and maxi albums.
