Motionless in White is an American metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Chris "Motionless" Cerulli (vocals, keyboard), Ricky Horror (rhythm guitar), Ryan Sitkowski (lead guitar), Vinny Mauro (drums) ), and Justin Morrow (bass). Motionless in White is signed to the Fearless Records label and released five studio albums. Their most recent album is entitled Disguise , published on June 7, 2019 by Roadrunner Records.
Motionless in White was founded in 2005 by guitarist and singer Chris Motionless, drummer Angelo Parente, guitarist Frank Polumbo, and bassist Kyle White in high school. Chris Motionless and others are inspired by bands like Poison the Well, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Johnny Cash, and Depeche Mode. In 2005, they released their first homonymous demo. A few years after the release of their demo, a new member, Josh Balz, joined the band as keyboardist, Frank Polumbo taking on the role of bassists; two new members, Michael Costanza and Thomas 'TJ' Bell, also join the band as guitarists, leading Chris Motionless to singing>. The group is discovered by Zach Neil during a performance at a club called The Staircase. Zach signs the band on his label Masquerade Recordings. They publish their first EP The Whorror produced by Zach Neil, mixed by Dan Malsch and published by Masquerade Recordings / Warner Music Group in 2007>.
After their promotional tour for The Whorror , Motionless in White lists enough songs for their next album, later titled When Love Met Destruction . When Love Met Destruction is recorded in 2008 first at Soundmine Studios then at Zach Neil with Dave Cutrone and Zach Neil, and is published the same year by Masquerade Recordings. Zach plays the band on the Warped Tour and draws the attention of Shawn Milke from the Alesana group who offers them a management contract. The band separates from guitarist Michael Costanza and hires current guitarist Ryan Sitkowski >>>. Although signed at Fearless, the EP When Love Met Destruction will be distributed to the Tragic Hero label on February 17, 2009>. The song Ghost in the Mirror becomes the first single of the group, accompanied by a video clip>.
