Napalm death

Napalm Death is a British grindcore band from Meriden, England. Formed in 1981, and without any original members still present, the group currently consists of singer Barney Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris, and drummer Danny Herrera.

Napalm Death is considered by the general audience as a pioneer of the grindcore genre, with the addition of hardcore punk and death metal elements, and the use of distorted guitars, a fast tempo, blast beat s, guttural singing and sociopolitical lyrics. The first album of the band, Scum , marketed in 1987 by Earache Records, has a great influence in the global metal community>.

Napalm Death lists a total of fifteen albums and is listed at Nielsen SoundScan as the seventh largest death metal band in the US.

Napalm Death was formed in the village of Meriden near Coventry, UK in May 1981 by Nic Bullen and Miles Ratledge, while still teenagers. The duo has been playing as an amateur band since 1980 and borrows several stage names like Civil Defense, The Mess, Evasion, and Undead Hatred) before finally choosing Napalm Death in the middle of 1981. The band's first stable formation consists of Nicholas Bullen at singing and bass, Simon Oppenheimer on guitar, and Miles Ratledge on drums, between December 1981 and January 1982. Graham Robertson joined the group as a bass player in January 1982. Simon Oppenheimer left the group in 1982 and was replaced by Darryl Fedeski leaves the group in October 1982: at this point, Graham Robertson embarks on the guitar, and Finbarr Quinn (ex-Curfew) joins the bass and choir. The group participated in concerts in 1982 and 1983 alongside anarcho-punk bands such as Amebix, The Apostles and Antisect; it records four demos in the same years, demos that will be included in the compilation Bullshit Detector Volume 3 distributed by Crass Records in 1984.
