One Ok Rock ( lang = "ja"> ワ ン オ ク ロ ッ ク ) , also stylized ONE OK ROCK , is a Japanese alternative rock band created in 2005. The band's name comes from the Japanese pronunciation of One O'clock (transcribed in wanokurokku), which for them was the time to which they reserved the recording studio>.
In April 2005, Toru and Ryota, who were part of the Heads group, formed One Ok Rock with Alex who attended the same school. Taka joined the band soon after as a singer, as Toru found his voice very appealing. In 2007, they released their first album called Zeitakubyō. Soon, they focus on tours in the Tokyo area. Then they release two mini-albums under independent label. They give their first concert as a main group at Loft in Shinjuku. In March 2007, Tomoya became official within the group. This era also marks their debut under the label Major Amuse record with the release of Naihi Shinsho on April 25th. In the fall of 2013, the group toured Europe and the United States, renewed in 2014. A documentary DVD on the 2013 European and Asian tour, Fool Cool Rock!, Will be released in 2014. The ONE OK ROCK formation dates back to the time when Toru Yamashita, a student, decided to form a band.
