Rollins band

Rollins Band is an American rock band from Van Nuys, California. He was trained in 1987 by Henry Rollins. Before the end of the year, Rollins Band record their first album Life Time (produced by Ian MacKaye of Fugazi), will follow Do It (1988), Hard Volume (1989) and Turned On (1990).

In 2006, Henry Rollins reformed the band with Chris Haskett, Sim Cain and Melvin Gibbs for a few dates. Rollins reveals to Alan Sculley that this meeting with Haskett, Gibbs and Cain can not be done in the long term, unless the group does not decide to write new songs.

Before the band's official band, Henry Rollins recorded with Mick Green on drums, Bernie Wandel on bass and Chris Haskett on guitar on album "Hot Animal Machine" (presented as a Rollins solo album) and the maxi "Drive by Shooting" (where the four stooges present themselves as the Henrieta Collins and the Wifebeating Childhaters). The sounds of the two albums were quite similar to those of the former punk band Rollins was the singer, the famous Black Flag, with heavy metal and jazz. EP Drive by Shooting flirting with derision.

If Haskett remains in the project, Mick Green and Bernie Wandel are replaced the spring of the same year by Sim Cain and Andrew Weiss, to form Rollins Band and go on tour in the United States and Europe, they will recruit during this tour their sound engineer and fifth member Theo Van Rock.
