Sarah brightman

Sarah Brightman is a British singer, dancer and actress, born August 14, 1960 in Berkhampstead, England. She is the older sister of Amelia Brightman, soloist of the Gregorian group.

Soprano and international superstar, Sarah Brightman is appreciated for her impressive vocal record (more than 3 octaves)> for her filmography and stage performances.

At the age of three, Sarah Brightman took dance classes. She studies in Elmhurst School for Dance (en) , of Arts Educational Schools (en) and the Royal College of Music. After a decade, she made her debut in Charles Strouse's show I And Albert. In 1976, she appeared on television with Pan's People and two years later, Sarah Brightman sang the song "I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper" with the pop group Hot Gossip and this title was in> position for several weeks to the UK Singles Chart.

In 1981, she played Jemima in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats with whom she married in 1984. In 1986, she sang in Andrew Lloyd Weber's musical The Phantom of the Opera. In 1988, Sarah Brightman released her first solo album, The Trees They Grow So High, immediately followed in 1989 by the album The Songs That Got Away. In June 1990, she divorced Andrew Lloyd Weber and released her third solo album, As I Came of Age.
