A change of pace

A Change of Pace is an American pop punk band from Peoria, Arizona. Formed in 2001, the band has a total of three albums - An Offer You Can not Refuse in 2005, Prepare the Masses in 2006, It Could Be Worse in 2011 - and three EPs, Change Is the Only Constant in 2003, Just No Better Way in 2008, and In this Together in 2009. The group, initially considered screamo and post-hardcore, is then considered pop punk influenced by alternative rock.

A Change of Pace currently includes his original singer Torry Jasper, bassist and second vocalist Johnny Abdullah, guitarists Adam Rodgers and Dan Parker and Jonathan Kelley on drums. Micah Bentley replaced Torry Jasper as singer of the band between 2008 and 2011.

A Change of Pace was formed in 2001 when singer Torry Jasper and drummer Jonathan Kelly played together in high school (Centennial High School). In 2003, after a few years of jamming and small concerts, bassist Johnny Abdullah and guitarist Adam Rodgers joined the band. They will be discovered by the artistic agent Jorge Hernandez, and will be signed in a few months to the Immortal Records label to which they will publish the EP Change Is the Only Constant.

In 2005, the band released their first album, An Offer You Can not Refuse, and landed at the Vans Warped Tour. A year after the release of the album, August 15, A Change of Pace publishes his second album, Prepare the Masses. The group will also recruit a fifth member, Dan Parker (formerly Don't Let Go). On June 1, 2008, the group announces its separation with Torry Jasper, and its replacement by Micah Bentley. Then release their EP, Just No Better Way.

Their third and last album, It Could Be Worse, is published on February 20, 2011>. On March 13, 2011, drummer Jon Kelley announced on Facebook the separation of A Change of Pace, after ten years of service. Their last concert, A Change of Pace Farewell Show, is being held on April 22 at the Tempe Clubhouse.
