Simple minds

Simple Minds is a British rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. His international popularity culminated from the mid-1980s until the early 1990s. He is known to the general public for his participation in the soundtrack of the movie Breakfast Club with the tube Do not You (Forget About Me) in 1985, rated n> 1 in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands.

Members who are inseparable, Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, founders, are still present to this day. Former members include bassist Derek Forbes, drummer Brian McGee and keyboardist Michael MacNeil.

The Simple Minds, which take their name from David Bowie's The Jean Genie, are formed in Glasgow in the midst of a punk movement under the original name of Johnny and the Self-Abusers. (only one single, in 1977). From his first single, Life in a Day, and his first album with a similar title (both released in 1979), the band has a certain echo in the UK (the single enters the Top 75> and the album reaches 30 > space>).
