Sixpence none the richer

Sixpence None the Richer is a pop rock band from the city of New Braunfels in Texas, part of the movement of Christian rock. Its founding members are Matt Slocum, guitarist and composer, and Leigh Nash, singer. They meet the bassist T.J. Behling and form the group in the early 1990s. The band's name comes from a passage from The Foundations of Christianity, written by Anglican author C. S. Lewis.

The band has recorded many albums and some titles of soundtracks and music compilations. They are best known for their songs Kiss Me and Breathe Your Name and their covers of Do not Dream It's Over and There She Goes.

On February 26, 2004, Matt Slocum announced the separation of the group in a letter to CCM magazine. A few months later, he joined the world of music with a new band, Astronaut Pushers. Leigh Nash has released two solo albums, Blue on Blue (2006) and Fauxliage (2007).

The group met again in November 2007 and released a year later a Christmas album, The Dawn of Grace.
