Skindred

Skindred is a British heavy metal band from Newport, Wales. He was born from the ashes of Dub War (underground band of the 1990s) and mixing different styles as the ragga by the voice of Benji (singer) and the metal, punk by the rhythms and the riffs of the musicians. Their first album, Babylon , is produced by Howard Benson (also producer for Papa Roach, Hoobastank and POD), and is mixed by Rick Will.

The singer Benji makes a live appearance noticed at the Download Festival with Korn on, A.D.I.D.A.S. , replacing Jonathan Davis, admitted urgently to the hospital. He also participates in the studio with Soulfly ( Soulfly ) on Prejudice and Bullet for My Valentine ( Scream Aim Fire ) on Take it Out on Me .

Dub War was formed in Newport in 1993, and signed to the Earache Records label. According to the singer Benji Webbe, "They did not let us record anything, and did not pay us, so we all got our heads to each other until we have no choice but to separate or kill each other. Dub War split in 1998, and Webbe formed Skindred with bassist Daniel Pugsley, guitarist Mikeydemus, and drummer Arya Goggin; Webbe will be unable to form a new project with other members of Dub War>. In 2002, Skindred published her first album, Babylon . Once reissued in 2003 by RCA Records, the album is re-released again, this time to the Lava Records label on August 14, 2004. AllMusic explains that "Skindred apparently no longer devotes itself to innovation Highly recommended for genre fans like Soulfly and System of a Down> ... "

In the United States, Babylon reaches the top spot Billboard Top Reggae Albums, 5> Place Top Heatseekers, and 189> Place Billboard 200; the single Nobody reached the 14> place of the Mainstream Rock Tracks and the 23> of the Modern Rock Tracks in 2004>. In 2005, the single Pressure reached the 30> place of Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks>. In 2006, Babylon once again reached the top spot of the Top Reggae Albums>. On October 23, 2007, Skindred released her second album, Roots Rock Riot with Bieler Bros. Records. In the United States, the album reached sixth place in the Top Heatseekers and 22nd place in the Top Independent Albums. The studio album Shark Bites and Dog Fights is published in September 2009.
