Backyard babies

Backyard Babies is a Swedish hard rock and punk rock band from Nässjö. Formed in 1987, it is originally composed of singer Tobbe, guitarist Dregen, bassist Johan Blomqvist and drummer Peder Carlsson. After the recording of a demo and some local concerts, in 1989 the group thanks Tobbe and replaces him with singer Nicke Borg; two more demos followed, as well as a national tour, and in 1991 the Backyard Babies launched their first official release, the EP Something to Swallow. Signing with the Swedish label Megarock in 1993, the following year the quartet released his first studio album, Diesel and Power, before disagreeing with Dregen who wants to work with his other group, the Hellacopters.

The Backyard Babies meet in 1997 for the album Total 13, and later release Making Enemies is Good (2001), Stockholm Syndrome (2003), People Like People Like People Like Us (2006) and Backyard Babies (2008). In 2010, the group embarked on a tour called Them XX after the release of a best of the same name. After a long break since 2008, the Backyard Babies have come together again to prepare the album Four By Four which was released in 2015.

Formed in 1987, Backyard Babies originally included singer and bassist Tobbe (Tobias Fischer), guitarist Dregen, guitarist Johan Blomqvist, and drummer Peder Carlsson. They will battle Tyrant, play some local gigs, and record a demo. Tobbe is then replaced by the singer Nicke Borg, and Blomqvist endorses the bass. Fischer will become a professional photographer and web designer in Stockholm, continuing to work occasionally with his group companions.

In 1989, the band changed its name to Backyard Babies and recorded two other demos before going on a national tour. The group self-produced an EP entitled Something to Swallow. They signed it in 1993 to the Swedish label Megarock Records. Backyard Babies releases his first studio album, Diesel and Power in 1994. Their musical style is inspired by rock, punk and blues. Apart from the album, the band also publishes the single Electric Suzy accompanied by a cover of Taxi Driver of Hanoi Rocks in side B. After touring with the old members of Hanoi Rocks in Demolition 23, and a brief tour at the end of 1995 , the band pauses, and guitarist Dregen forms the garage rock band The Hellacopters. Dregen will participate in two Hellacopters albums, Supershitty to the Max! (1996) and Payin 'the Dues (1997).
