Band of skulls

Band of Skulls is a British rock band from Southampton, England. Formed in 2004. He is from Southampton, England and is formed by Emma Richardson (bass and vocals), Russel Marsden (guitar and vocals) and Matt Hayward (drums) who met in college. They record their first album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey in 2008.

In February 2012, Band of Skulls is back with his second opus Sweet Sour. In November 2013, the group announces for the spring of 2014 the release of its third Himalayan album, produced by Nick Launay. At the same time, he plays the first parts of Queens of the Stone Age in Europe and unveils the single Asleep at the Wheel.

Initially, the band plays at night in London clubs, and record several demos under the name of Fleeing New York. In 2008 they changed to Band of Skulls, and recorded their first album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, distributed by the label Shangri-La Music, which is found, initially, exclusively on the iTunes Store from April 9 and in hardware version on March 20th. I Know What I Am is selected as the iTunes single of the week and appears as a soundtrack for the Friday Night Lights TV series, Volume 2, May 4, 2010>. In 2009, the group also made the song Friends which will be part of the soundtrack of the movie Twilight, chapter II: Tentation which is published in November 2009>.

On March 23, 2010, Band of Skulls released the EP Friends, which includes the studio version of Friends, a live version, and a clip. The group plays at the SXSW Festival in early 2010 and runs in the Midwest in March in support of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The group appears in the French show Taratata in March 2010, where they take the song Sympathy for the Devil Rolling Stones with John & Jehn>. In April 2010, they tour in North America and then in England in May 2010, with a sold-out concert at the Electric Ballroom. On June 28, 2010, Band of Skulls supports The Dead Weather at the London Roundhouse>. In July 2010, the band took over Strict Machine from Goldfrapp for Australian radio>. They are also one of three bands to play with Muse on September 4, 2010, at Lancashire County Cricket Ground.
