The Brilliant green

The Brilliant Green (officially written in lowercase: the brilliant green) is a Japanese pop rock band.

The band was created in 1995, then composed of the singer Tomoko Kawase, the bassist and leader Shunsaku Okuda (in ) , and guitarist Ryo Matsui. He released his first album in 1997 at Sony Music Entertainment Japan, and met with success the next year with the tube There will be love there - Ai no Aru Basho-, n> 1 of the Oricon charts.

After four albums and several others n> 1, the sales of its disks starting to fall, the group ceases its activities in 2002, without however separating officially. The members are pursuing artistic activities on their own, Tomoko Kawase successfully as Tommy February6 and Tommy Heavenly6, and Matsui as Meister. In 2003, Kawase and Okuda get married.

The group finally resumed its activities in 2007 to celebrate its tenth anniversary, after a five-year break, in parallel with Kawase's solo activities. In 2009, he changed his label for Warner Music Japan. In May 2010, Ryo Matsui announces his departure. The band released three more duet albums in the year, before ceasing its releases ... In 2012, Kawase participates in parallel to the temporary group Halloween Junky Orchestra of Hyde.
