Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock band from Norwood, Ontario. Formed in 1997>, the band currently consists of Matt Walst, Neil Sanderson, Brad Walst and Barry Stock.
Signed to Jive Records and RCA Records, Three Days Grace has six studio albums, all released three years apart: Three Days Grace 2003, One-X in 2006, Life Starts Now en 2009, in "> Transit of Venus in 2012, Human in 2015 and Outsider in 2018. The first three albums are certified platinum triple-disc, and gold record by the RIAA in the United States, respectively. In Canada, they are certified platinum, double platinum, and platinum, respectively. Adam Gontier announces his departure from the group on December 21, 2012, and is replaced by Matt Walst, Brad's brother, temporarily. He became the new official singer of the band on March 28, 2014.
The group was initially formed in 1992 as Groundswell, and later released an album entitled "Wave of Popular Feeling" . At the end of 1995, the group split up.
In 1997, Adam, Neil, and Brad meet under the name Three Days Grace. According to Adam, the name provokes a sense of urgency, the idea behind this name is: "If you had three days to change everything in your life, could you do it? ?>. " Once in Toronto, the band partners with local producer Gavin Brown>. Brown and the group refine the songs, and launch a demo album, which they send to EMI Music Publishing Canada. The label wants to hear more from them, and the band decides to record "I Hate Everything About You" , which attracts the interest of many labels >. The band signs soon after at the label Jive Records>.
