Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats is a British psychedelic doom band from Cambridge, England, heavily influenced by heavy metal from the 1970s.

AllMusic salutes the band's ability to recreate a particular sound aspect of this era. The group is metaphorically described as "Alice Cooper mixed with Black Sabbath and Stooges". " To simulate the sounds produced at this time, the group makes use of vintage instruments and equipment designed for this purpose. Uncle Acid is named after the former pseudonym of his singer K.R Starrs.

Blood Lust is their second album>. With the release of their third album, Mind Control , more pop sound of the 1970s has been incorporated>. According to Metacritic, the album was "universally hosted" with an overall average of 81% based on 7 reviews>. Justin Norton, Editor at Decibel Magazine, offers the album a rating of 8 out of 10>.

Between 2013 and 2014, the band is going on an international tour and playing in various festivals including Roadburn, Download, Hellfest, Roskilde, Bukta Tromsø Open Air Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Øyafestivalen, Valkhof, Beacon, Reading and Leeds Festivals, Off Festival , and the Soundwave >>>. They play in support of Black Sabbath on 16 dates at the meeting tour in Europe in November and December 2013. After touring New Zealand, Australia and Europe in early 2014, they play Maryland Deathfest, Nova Rock Festival, Eurockéennes, Copenhell and Pukkelpop.
