Warmen

Warmen is a Finnish melodic power metal band from Espoo. Formed by Children of Bodom keyboardist Janne Wirman, Warmen is an instrumental band that relies heavily on Janne's qualities; he is considered to be one of the fastest metal keyboardists. Although Warmen is an instrumental band, some songs include a vocal part performed by guest singers, such as Kimberly Goss (Sinergy), Timo Kotipelto of Stratovarius, Pasi Nykänen of Throne of Chaos, and Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom.

The first incarnation of Warmen includes Janne, guitarist Sami Virtanen and drummer Mirka Rantanen. The group formed in 2000> recorded and released a first studio album titled Unknown Soldier the same year alongside Kimberly Goss (Sinergy), guitarist Roope Latvala (also Sinergy, then Children of Bodom) and bassist Jari Kainulainen ( Stratovarius).

The following year, the band recruits Lauri Porra (later from Sinergy and Stratovarius) and the brother of guitarist Janne, Antti Wirman (from Kotipelto). At the Warmen Productions Studio, the band recorded the album Beyond Abilities , which is geared towards progressive metal, and well received by the trade press. The album features Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius), Pasi Nykänen (Throne of Chaos) and singer Kimberly Goss again.

Their third album, Accept the Fact , was released in June 2005 and featured Timo Kotipelto, Marko Vaara, Jonna Kosonen and Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom . Alexi sings on Somebody's Watching Me . The lyrics of the first song, Accept the Fact , are taken from the movie Amadeus.
