Ween is an American alternative rock band from New Hope, Pennsylvania. He was trained in 1984 by Mickey Melchiondo and Aaron Freeman.
Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween) and Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween) met at a typing class in class 4>. They signed on the Twin / Tone label in 1989, before recording their first real album (GodWeenSatan: The Oneness) a year later.
Pure Guava (1992) was the first in a series for the Elektra label. Y is the title of Push th 'Little Daisies, their best known single.
In 1996, Ween turned to Nashville, Tennessee, to record 12 Golden Country Greats produced by Ben Vaughn. It will be followed the following year by The Mollusk, album very maritime inspiration. Wanting to find alternative media for their music and also to please fans, Dean released the album Craters of the Sac (1999) in MP3 format.
