Caparezza

Caparezza (pronounced: ), by his real name Michele Salvemini , born on October 9, 1973 in Molfetta, is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper. He made his debut at the Sanremo Festival in 1997 (a singing contest in Italian) under the name of MikiMix.

Figlio was born from Franca Murolo and Giovanni Salvemini> previously a member of a musical group. Although he wanted to become a draftsman, he started studying accounting at the Molfetta vocational school. After graduation, he decides to advertise and earns a scholarship to the Milan Academy of Communication. However, he abandons his studies to devote himself to music.

Young, he is diagnosed agnostic>.

Salvemini launches his musical career under the pseudonym Mikimix, composing melodic and minimal tunes and enjoying a moderate success. He goes on television to Segnali di fumo, a musical program on the Italian channel Videomusic with Paola Maugeri. After several evenings in Milan, he plays at the Castrocaro Festival, then participates in the Sanremo Giovani musical contest in 1995 with the song Succede solo nei film, but does not qualify. In 1996, he released his first album Tengo Duro and again took part in the contest Sanremo Giovani in 1996 with the song Donne con le minigonne, where he is this time admitted to participate in the festival Sanremo of 1997. In 1998, Salvemini publishes his last single under Mikimix, titled Vorrei che questo pit il Paradiso.

Back in Molfetta, he continues to compose in his garage. He grows his hair and a goatee, and changes his stage name to Caparezza - meaning "curly head" in the local dialect of Molfetta - a name attributed to him because of his curly hairstyle also translatable by "rich head" . It publishes between 1998 and 1999, three demos titled Ricomincio da Capa, Con Caparezza ... nella Monnezza and Zappa. In 2000, he released his first studio album, titled ?!, which contained 12 of the 14 songs from his demos. The album contains the singles Tutto ciò che c'è, La fitta sassaiola dell'ingiuria, Chi cz zzo me lo fare and La gente original.
