Crystals

The Crystals is an American female vocal group, an archetypal 1960s girl group. It's a New York quintet whose songs were all produced by Phil Spector.

The first title that reveals them is entitled There's No Other (Like My Baby) (1961). He is followed by Uptown (1962). For these two hits, the band's soloist is Barbara Alston. She is surrounded by Mary Thomas, Patsy Wright, Dee Dee Kennibrew and La La Brooks.

In 1962 and 1963, Phil Spector produced records of the Crystals in Los Angeles without the band's presence (they stayed in New York). In their place, he uses Blossoms, whose lead singer is Darlene Love: He's a Rebel (1962) and He's Sure the Boy I Love (1963).

The two most famous titles of the Crystals are Da Doo Ron Ron and Then He Kissed Me. They are recorded in 1963 (by the real Crystals this time) with LaLa Brooks as lead singer.
