Dirty looks

Dirty Looks is an American hard rock band from San Francisco, California. He is active between 1984 and 1996, and between 2007 and 2011. The band is from San Francisco. Henrik Ostergaard is the main group member. He died at the age of 47 in Erie on the morning of January 27, 2011 from natural causes. He was also the guitarist-singer of Rumbledog.

Originally from Crossfire, an Erie cover band, Danish singer and guitarist Henrik Ostergaard and his colleague and bassist Jimmy Chartley crossed San Francisco to form Dirty Looks in 1984. Crossfire, their colleague from Crossfire, joined them a year later.

While in California on their way back to Philadelphia, the band released an EP and three independent albums before signing with Major Atlantic Records. For their first album here, Dirty Looks includes Paul Lidel (guitar), Jack Pyers (bass) and Gene Barnett (drums). The resulting album, Cool from the Wire, released in 1988, joins the Billboard and the video of Oh Ruby is broadcast on MTV. Produced by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Lynch Mob), is considered one of the best hard rock albums of all time.

Later in 1989, conflicts arise with the producer Beau Hill, but their second album becomes their highest ranked Billboard. The Atlantic Records president and their new Hard to Handle management team (AC / DC, Thin Lizzy, Emerson, Lake and Palmer) agree that the group would be more successful if they hired a producer who would directly reach him the Billboard. Beau Hill (Ratt, Warrant, Winger) is recruited to record the album. Hill's sessions are set aside, and producer John Jansen (Britny Fox, Faster Pussycat, Cinderella) is recruited to produce Turn of the Screw, released in 1989. They will be supporting the album.
