Duman is a Turkish rock band. The group consists of Kaan Tangöze, Batuhan Mutlugil, Ari Barokas and Cengiz Baysal. The band is influenced by rock, grunge and Turkish "traditional" music.
Kaan began writing songs while living in Seattle in the early 1990s. He plays in the Mad Mad group. Kaan then returns to Turkey, he forms a band with Ari Barokas, who plays then in Blue Blues Band, and with Batuhan Mutlugil. Duman then released his first song, Halimiz Duman.
The band is looking for a drummer but can not find anyone and hires Alen Konakoğlu on the studio albums.
Duman released his first studio album Eski Köprünün Altında in 1999, and the second, Belki Alışman Lazım in 2002. These two albums are big hits in Turkey and Duman becomes the leader of a new generation of rock bands. In 2004, their live album Konser appears and the band is the first Turkish rock band to release a live DVD. The fourth album, Seni Kendime Sakladım is released in 2005.
