Duran duran

Duran Duran is a British rock band from Birmingham. It is part of the wave New Romantics associated with the new wave of the 1980s. Duran Duran is also known for the quality of his video clips. This group is formed in 1978 by Nick Rhodes (keyboards) and John Taylor (bass). They are joined by Roger Taylor (drums), Andy Taylor (guitar) and Simon Le Bon (vocals). The three Taylor's are unrelated and Roger Taylor is namesake of Roger Taylor, Queen's drummer.

The band members have changed over the years to include guitarist Warren Cuccurullo (1986-2001, replacing Andy Taylor, who left in 1986), and drums Steve Ferrone (1986-1989, 1993) and Sterling Campbell. 1989-1991, replacing Roger Taylor, who left in 1985). Following the departure of Warren Cuccurullo in 2001, the group returned to its initial training. Andy Taylor again leaves the Fab Five " in the summer of 2006.

In 2007, while Duran Duran received a Brit Award of Honor for his entire career, Billboard magazine reports that the band's sales exceed eighty million albums worldwide. Other sources indicate sales of up to 100 million records.

The song A View to a Kill, co-written with John Barry, was the James Bond soundtrack of the same name (Dangerously Yours in French) released in 1985. The song itself was ranked first in the United States in the spring of that year and n> 2 in the UK, and in the top 10 in many countries. The song Do You Believe in Shame? (from the album Big Thing) appears in the movie Tequila Sunrise and Out Of My Mind (from the album Medazzaland) appears in the movie The Saint.
