The Eagles

The Eagles [ i ɡ l̩ z ] are American rock bands from Los Angeles, California. They were formed in 1970, influenced by country and bluegrass, country rock pioneer. The musical style of the Eagles is known as '' West Coast Sound ''.

The band released its first album The Eagles in 1972, which included three top 40 singles: Take It Easy, Witchy Woman, and Peaceful Easy Feeling. The following album, Desperado (1973), is less well received and only reaches the top of the charts. However, it includes two popular songs, Desperado and Tequila Sunrise. The group then released On the Border in 1974, alongside guitarist Don Felder, fifth member. The album generates two Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 singles: Best of My Love (No. 1) and Already Gone.

Their album One of These Nights (1975) includes three top 10 singles: One of These Nights, Lyin 'Eyes and Take It to the Limit. Guitarist and singer Joe Walsh also joined the group in 1975 to replace Bernie Leadon. The Eagles continue in this line and enjoy a peak of popularity in 1976 with the release of Hotel California, which will sell more than 16 million copies in the United States alone and more than 32 million worldwide . The album includes two singles ranked first charts, New Kid in Town and Hotel California. Bassist Randy Meisner left the group in 1977 and was replaced by former Poco Timothy B. Schmit. They release a new studio album in 1979, called The Long Run, which includes three top 10 singles: Heartache Tonight, The Long Run, and I Can not Tell You Why.

The Eagles separate in July 1980, but return in 1994 for the album Hell Freezes Over, a mix of studio and live songs. They go on tour and are introduced to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. In 2007, the Eagles released Long Road Out of Eden, their first studio album in 28 years and sixth album ranked first of the charts. The following year, they perform the Long Road Tour of Eden Tour in support of the album. In 2013, they begin the History of the Eagles - Live in Concert, in parallel with the release of the documentary History of The Eagles.
