Anonymus is a Canadian thrash metal band from Montreal, Quebec. He was trained in 1989. In addition to being known for their own corpus, they are also notably by their collaboration with the album The Academy of the massacre and barbaric Music with the satirical songwriter Mononc 'Serge. The group sings in French, Spanish, English, and Italian>.
Anonymus was formed in 1988 in Montreal, Quebec>. After a demo in 1992, Anonymus released his first album in October 1994, Ni vu, ni known. Criticism recognizes him technical mastery and impressive sound quality for a first album. The writing is committed and the quartet receives, in 1996, the MiMi best metal / rock band. The release of his second studio effort, Stress, in 1997, marks the group's signature on the MPV Records label. With its previous achievements, Anonymus offers several Spectrum Montreal sold out, and runs with better known names such as Biohazard and Anthrax. He is also a North American success following a tour of Mexico and a presence at the Milwaukee Metal Fest. The group entrusts to Colin Richardson the realization of the album Instinct. This director is already working with bands such as Machine Head, Fear Factory, Carcass, Napalm Death. The band continues with a tour in France, alongside Watcha and Out.
Anonymus launches, in 2002, the album Daemonium. The quartet then climbed on the stage across the country and saw his album dedicated the best metal record of the year by many radio stations. Then appears the album L'Académie du Massacre, which combines the efforts of Anonymus and Mononc 'Serge. The album is sold at 15,000 copies and the duo is spinning for 18 months. At the time, the L'Académie du Massacre album was the biggest independent success of the Quebec music industry. A live DVD sells over 2,000 copies.
In October 2006, Anonymus publishes Chapter Chaos Begins at the Galy Records label. The album is directed by Jean-François Dagenais (Kataklysm, Misery Index) and mastered by Peter In de Betou (Meshuggah, Dimmu Borgir). A video clip is shot for the tracks Suffer the Consequences and Terremoto (2007)>. In February 2008, they announced a Canadian tour from March 1 to March 29>. In June 2008, Anonymus participated in the 4> edition of Amnesia Rockfest of Montebello. In 2008, 2009> and 2010, Anonymus participates in the Francofolies de Montréal.
