The Faceless

The Faceless is an American extreme metal band from Encino, Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2004, the band is quickly gaining importance on the international stage, with their square death metal and technical recalling Necrophagist or Cannibal Corpse for their brutality. Meshuggah, a well-known band on the international metal scene, quickly spotted The Faceless and got them on a 50-date tour with Burning the Masses.

The band was formed in 2004 in Encino, Los Angeles, by guitarist Michael Keene and bassist Brandon Giffin. In the summer of 2005, the band started a four-track EP titled Akeldama . After recording the drum tracks, drummer Brett Batdorf leaves the band. After a break, the band decides to make this EP a studio album, and recruits several drummers to finish the drum tracks. After Akeldama , it turns significantly with Necrophagist, Decapitated, Nile, and The Black Dahlia Murder>.

Planetary Duality begins at class = "lang-en" lang = "en"> Billboard 200> . The album is well received by the specialized press. Shortly after this release, they tour with bands such as Meshuggah, Lamb of God and In Flames. Before their performance at California Metalfest IV, Giffin announces his departure from the group>. The group also announces its participation in the 2010 Summer Slaughter Tour with Decapitated, All Shall Perish and Decrepit Birth.

In April 2011, the group announces the arrival of their new bassist, Evan Brewer> (ex-Animosity). The group entered the studio in August 2011 to record the successor to "Planetary Duality" . In March 2012, guitarist Steve Jones leaves the band and is replaced by Wes Hauch, who leaves Keene. Their new album, Autotheism , begins 50> of Billboard 200 >, and first of the CMJ rock charts. The group, including Cannibal Corpse, Between the Buried and Me, and Periphery, takes part in the 2012 Summer Slaughter Tour. In January 2013, Cooper leaves the group, and the announcement on Facebook. Alex Rüdinger, former member of The HAARP Machine, and colleague of The Faceless, becomes their full time drummer. On October 20, 2014, Evan Brewer and Alex Rüdinger leave the group within a few days of each other. In the space of six months, the group lost three members including Wes Hauch in 2014>.
