Asesino

Asesino is an American super metal supergroup from Los Angeles, California. Like Brujeria, the lyrics are sung entirely in Spanish, and deal with themes evoking death, violence and perversion. The guitarist Asesino describes the band as "the new Brujeria" .

The group was formed in 2002 in Los Angeles, California, by guitarist Dino Cazares and drummer Raymond Herrera credited under the nicknames of Asesino and Grenudo, respectively. The name of the group literally means "assassin" in Spanish. They will be joined on vocals and bass by Tony Campos (a.k.a. Maldito X), a member of Static-X>. Herrera then leaves the group and is replaced by Emilio Márquez de Sadistic Intent>.

The group plays some dates with Static-X, American Head Charge and Bloodsimple in June 2005. In October that same year, the band joined the Blackest of the Black tour in California, passing through Dallas, San Antonio and Los Angeles with Danzig, Chimaira, Behemoth, Himsa, and Mortiis. In January 2006, Asesino joined the Los Angeles Undercity Studios to record his new album, Cristo Satanico, produced by Dino Cazares and sound engineer Logan Mader (formerly Machine Head, Soulfly). In March 2006, they are announced at BB King's Blues Club in New York City on July 31>. They announce the release of Cristo Satanico for June 6, 2006 via MySpace>.

In January 2013, the band is announced in preparation for a new album, La Segunda Venida, which will be released at the end of 2013>. The album is still not published, in 2016>.
