Iwrestledabearonce is an American metalcore band from Shreveport, Louisiana, currently based in Birmingham, Alabama. They count one EP and two studio albums, and several tours with bands such as August Burns Red, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Dance Gavin Dance, The Human Abstract, Blessthefall, Fact, Greeley Estates, Sea of ​​Treachery, Enter Shikari, Winds of Plague, Shall Perish, Vanna, and Horse the Band. Their music, quite unclassifiable, is between deathcore, grindcore and technical death metal. In the space of an EP, they know a growing success, thanks to their technical ease in the solos or thanks to their words ( Tastes Like Kevin Bacon ).

It's All Happening reaches the top of the rankings Billboard Top Heatseekers , and the 122> of the Billboard 200 in 2009>. Iwrestledabearonce then embarks on a tour outside US borders in October 2009 for "It's All Happening ". The tour 2009 Imperial Never Say Die is sponsored by Imperial Clothing and Jägermeister in the UK, and in Europe with Architects, Despised Icon, As Blood Runs Black, Horse the Band, Oceano and The Ghost Inside. In December 2009, they are the headliners of the American-Canadian tour The Tour That Stole Christmas with Miss May I, Inhale Exhale (en) and Of Machines (en) . Iwrestledabearonce is selected for the 2010 Van's Warped Tour between July 20 and August 15, 2010>. In the summer of 2009, the group decided to relocate to Birmingham, Alabama.

In 2010, the band reissues "It's All Happening" in a special three-disc edition composed of a classic CD, a remix CD, and a DVD >. Later, the band released a five-piece EP titled It's All Dubstep .

After recording their new album, whose title will be revealed as Ruining It for Everybody , guitarist Steven Bradley explains that the album will direct black metal, and the group will make use of corpse paint . The announcement of their new orientation black metal is in fact a vast joke orchestrated by the band and the heavy metal site MetalSucks. A song is extracted from the album Ruining It for Everybody on the site whose team confirms that " there has never been black metal ". At Warped Tour 2012, it is announced that Krysta Cameron is pregnant and will not be able to complete the rest of the tour with the group. She is replaced by Courtney LaPlante>.
