Jack Off Jill is a group of American Grrrl riot, native to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. It was in 1992 that Jack Off Jill was created. This band, wanting to remain independent of their music, makes some demos and is noticed by Marilyn Manson. Unable to reconcile music and studies, some members of the group are then forced to stop playing. The band seems pretty unstable in these members led by Jessicka, the singer. The group then returns in 2000, then separates following the "failure" of their album Clear Hearts Gray Flowers, not being of the quality of the precedent but having nevertheless a quite successful artwork.
Tenni Arslanyan meets Jessicka at Piper High School in Sunrise, Florida. The group formed after the arrival of Moulder and Inhell. The first Jack Off Jill concert is with Marilyn Manson and her band Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, one night in Davie, Florida, at a club called The Plus Five Lounge. Manson will take the group under his wing. He becomes their mentor, produces their first demos, and opens at many of their concerts.
At this time, the group opens for other women's groups like Joan Jett, L7, Silverfish, Tribe 8, Fetchin 'Bones and the Lunachicks. On stage, Jessicka undressed young men, and the group covered the crowd with spit, real blood and sweets >>>. In early 1993, Jessicka plays with Manson's ephemeral project, Mrs. Scabtree>. On December 27, 1994, Jack Off Jill joins Marilyn Manson on dates in Florida. Playing at Jacksonville's Club 5, Manson is apprehended for violating the laws of the city by dropping the pants in front of the public who will not take this act with humor. Jessicka is arrested for attempted sexual acts on minors.
Jack Off Jill publishes several independent albums: Children 5 and Up (produced by Marilyn Manson), The Boygrinder Sessions, Cannibal Song Book, (produced by JOJ and Manson at Studio 13 in Deerfield Beach, Florida), Cockroach Waltz, and multiple singles 7 "It was not until April 8, 1994, when JOJ played a Rock Against Domestic Violence concert with Babes in Toyland and 7 Year Bitch at Cameo Theater in Miami Beach that Jack Off Jill attracted the interest of the labels Risk Records signed them later in January 1997. The band replaced Ah Cha Cha and Inhell with two other members who were ready to leave Florida The band released its first 7 "national Girl Scout / American Made in March 1997. On September 9, 1997, their first album, Sexless Demons And Scars, (produced by Don Fleming, leader of Gumball) is released.
