Aqua Timez is a group of Japanese J-rock and J-pop. It is currently active since 2003. It is composed of five members from Tokyo: Futoshi (vocals), OKP-STAR (bass guitar), Daisuke (guitar), Mayuko (keyboard), TASSHI (drums). A former member, Abiko, held the drummer position. This four-boy, one-girl keyboarding class is prevalent in Japan for this type of group. The group is known to a wide audience for having contributed to the anime of the Bleach manga for several openings and endings such as Sen no Yoru wo Koete or Alones.

The group made its debut in August 2005 with its first mini-album titled Sora Ippai and Kanaderu Inori. This album, very noticed during its release, appears until 2006 in the top 10 of the Japanese independent scene. It contains the song Toushindai no Love Song, very present then on the air and considered today as one of the biggest successes of the group. She remained seven weeks running number 1 of the USEN, Japanese hit parade and the album is in the top 10 of the Oricon ranking on January 23, 2006, reaching the top rank on February 20, 2006>.

Aqua Timez released a second mini-album on April 5, 2006, Nanairo no Rakugaki, after signing with Epic Records Japan. The band released three months later the single Ketsui no Asa ni which will be used for the film Brave Story. At the end of the year comes out the eponymous album containing in addition to the previous single, the song Sen no Yoru wo Koete who will compose the end credits of the animated film Bleach: Memories of Nobody. This album will get third place in the Oricon ranking.

On November 21, 2007, Aqua Timez released his second album Dareka no Chijou E, whose songs Shiori and Alones were released as singles. Alones is used as the sixth opening of the anime manga Bleach. The band will be touring for the first time in 2007, a tour called BiG BaNG tour '07! He left for tour (ervergreen tour 2008) in March 2008 and released the single Niji on May 8, used as the theme of the drama Gokusen, then the single Natsu no kakera October 1 which is used as a theme film Fure Fure Shujo .
