Deftones

Deftones is an American nude metal band from Sacramento>. With Korn, they are considered the founders of naked metal >>>>>>>, and also considered as one of the most innovative and influential groups of the genre >>>>>>>.

The band starts their career playing in concerts without publishing any album>. The songs he performed at that time were, for the most part, a style close to heavy metal. After signing at Maverick, Deftones began recording in the studio to create his own style, but did not collect much success >>>. With the release of Around the Fur and White Pony, considered among the best albums of the alternative metal scene >>>>>, Deftones began to be a hit with both critics and audiences alike, thanks to punk and new wave that he incorporated into his own style of metal that he made more melodious. The band repeated this success with Deftones, Saturday Night Wrist, Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan and Gore albums.

In 2008, Chi Cheng, bassist of the group, is the victim of a very serious accident of the road, and remains in a state of semi-conscious coma which does not allow him to continue his work of musician. He is then replaced by Sergio Vega for an indefinite period. Chi Cheng will die on April 13, 2013>.

The founders of the group were Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham and Chi Cheng, while the others will join the band later. Stephen was musically influenced by heavy metal> and original hard rock (Metallica, Black Sabbath, Meshuggah> Pantera)>, but without neglecting other genres, he also listens to rap artists like Public Enemy and LL Cool J >>>. Chino, however, listened to new wave music during his childhood, such as The Cure, The Smiths, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran, and also has a passion for genres such as blues, jazz, gothic rock and reggae, he is also a known admirer of Bob Marley. It is from this mixture of influences that the sound of the Deftones was forged.
