Jake shimabukuro

Jake Shimabukuro , born November 3, 1976 in Honolulu, Hawaii (USA) is an American virtuoso ukulele musician.

After a career in the Pure Heart group, rewarded by several Na Hoku Hanohano Awards and then Colon , he devoted himself exclusively to his career solo from 2001.

His music is a mix of jazz, rock, Hawaiian music, and pop, he is often called the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele.

His claimed musical influences are Eddie Van Halen (whose legendary guitar solo "Eruption" was taken over by Jake), Yngwie Malmsteen, and Carlos Santana for the instrumental solo aspect, but he has also claimed since the experience with Pure Heart a Hawaiian heritage and references to the famous Ka'au Crater Boys .
