hey, that's pretty good for a... wow, 12 years old? yep. impressive. i didn't even know what a guitar was when i was 12. not even when i was 14 lol. my advice is to use less "yayeah's" in the choruses, as they sound a bit, er... old-fashioned... 1980's pop-rock you know, lol. how did you record the song then? played the guitar yourself & the other instruments on guitar pro?

a bit long, too... but i liked the beginning, with those synth, then the bass, then guitar solo. nice! & the drums are good too, not completely unexpected but still interesting.

oh, & i like your voice! i've grown fond of low voices since i discovered Morphine... a blues-rock guitarless band in which the (low-register) singer plays a 2-stringed bass (uh-uh) & the only other instruments are a baritone saxophone & drums...

ok, you want a rating? i'll give you 4 stars considering you were real young when you wrote it, & i'll make it 5 if you record a shorter version (or include some kind of interlude in this one that would justify its length)

ok, apologies, apparently you can actually play all those instruments by yourself - or so you claim on your myspace... ummmm so did you play & record the whole song all by yourself then? or with your band?

I'm 14 by the way, the history behind this song is that it was written a LONG time ago, probably when I was 12 or so...

pretty basic chord progression, but I always liked the sound of it so I decided to record it...

my voice is pretty low as you can tell (can hit the low E on the geetar with my voice) so I picked the perfect time to try to start singing right when I entered puberty so its ok, but don't expect a cool rockstar voice, but I would nontheless like you to listen to it and rate it either here or at my myspace...

you can hit a low E..... I can hit an A below that, so I have a low voice, but I'd prefer a higher voice actually. I have an instrumental called Run Away on youtube.

A low voice runs in my family. And I know I was never going to be a rockstar with my low voice..... it's a shit really, but then I wasn't good enough anyway so I just do the best I can

Well, now that you mention it, I'd suggest you quit urgently before you damage anyone's ears 'cause you really suck eggs! LOOOOL!

In fact, I liked it. The song is constructed, and builds up in a gradual and sensible way. There is a melody (worth mentioning!) - not overly varied, but varied enough to be interesting.
And the guitar work is clean.

And now for the less positive aspects:
Your voice doesn't work as low as you think it does. Your optimal range is in the baritone range, not in the bass range; you sound much better there than when you try to hit those low notes.
You should probably consider working on your voice to improve it. I think you're good enough to be worth it. This would help you "place" it more accurately.

I concur with matmilloo: the song is too long. The second part is a repetition of the first, and doesn't add anything new. Consequently, the song becomes slightly boring in the second verse. You have tried to introduce some variation with that second guitar "break", but it's not very effective (rather messy, in fact).
One way to remedy this is to introduce additional instruments - strings, brass, whatever. That helps keeping the listener's attention.

All in all, this is one of the best amateur productions I've heard on myspace or youtube, so keep at it!

OK so this song really lacks a high part, even something as simple as a few notes of keyboard; a voice would do great, or a guitar solo whatever. But just like that, well it sounds like a backing track. sure, the riff is nice, but not self-sufficient. Work on it!

oh, & the moment when the guitar suddenly pans to the left: it's too brutal, it feels weird each time i instinctively check my jack cable, thinking i must've pulled on it....
