Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook
Sorry but you don't know what you're talking about......Gp6 is not even announced for a beta version yet..... Last news on their site is from 2006 and we had news from them last year (whitout any come out date for GP6 yet)
I didn't mean to take all your sweet times i'll give it right back to ya one of these days...

Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook

Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook
Well everybody as some personal hopes but we don't want a software that will replace musicians, sound quality isn't the most important part of GP. We mostly need more refined editing possibilities like more voices and a software more musically oriented to refine quality of files produce with GP and go beyond a strict tab software. All this would gather more respect from the music community toward GP cause right now it doesn't really get attention from non-fretted instrument's players and it should.

I agree. I really hope they don't do what Microsoft did with Vista, focusing mainly in the visual aspect (to make it flashy and make it look like the big deal). In this case it would be the realistic sound. I mean, Guitar Pro is not a music producing tool, what's the point of making good real sounds leaving editing kinda halfway done? For realistic sounds we have Reason, Cubase, Nuendo, Ezdrummer, lotsa VSTi, Plugins, etc. Guitar Pro should focus on editing and composing, not sound mixing.

Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook
don't worry, we didn't forget that point!
We have worked on the audio engine and it sounds good, but we are not a music producing tool.
The main focus of gp6 keeps the user interface and musical part (including score rendering and notation element).
M@ngOr€, in gp6 you 'll be able to use more than 2 voices and palm muted voice are more realistic ;)

Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook
It may not be a music production tool, but I base everything I transcribe on "how it sounds", so it needs to sound accurate. Obviously, the interface and notation need to keep up, but it's already top notch.

I was one to point out that tempo could use other note values than quarter notes to use properly time signatures that aren't based on quarter notes. Also instead of base rhythms on bar length if should be base on beat length to avoid poor musical display of rhytmic text This would help GP users to understand music and write music properly as much as interesting more musicians about GP. I pointed out those points many times to Arrobas staff i sure hope they try to implement those feature
Almost forgot>>.Realtime midi capture
if possible within a reasonable retail price.

I just want more customizable/flexible bend, trem, slide from/to, grace note, harmonic options and I'll be happy.

Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook
Well, to be the easy-floating one here, a realtime MIDI clock instead of bars only to see how long the song is, this is simple, and very helpful. It would be nice.

Don't you have the formula (Bars x Time sig(beats a bar)/tempo (BPM)) and a calculator

The formula is a bit more comlpicated, you have tempo variations, multiple bar sig, coda, etc....
but indeed, gp6 has a good calculator ;)

We expect a programmer to be more precise
sure it gets more complicated than the formula if events occur in the score.

Re: Guitar Pro 6 FaceBook
Here's one special. Can the follow along bar be customize to follow along to a specified value instead of having it follow along one of the two voices????
Example: setting it to follow along to each 1/16th notes independently of any voices
