I made it a sticky, but I will be the first to say how much I hate this band. Bleah!

I will also add that this is the only thread for that band. I don't want this to end up like msb with over 300 redundant threads.

You won't be the last either! But having a sticky will prevent thousands of metallica topics starting up... starting a metallica thread should be grounds for ban-ment.

It's coming out, but I hope like hell it's the last one... They should have quit while they were ahead, Metallica isn't a band anymore, it's a brand...

agreed, although I do like enter sandman, and seek and destroy, although it's about 7 frieking minutes long, the need to shorten up there songs, it gets boring after awile

Kill 'Em All : Sounds old, but can be listened to with nostalgia.
Ride The Lightning : Great album, Ride The Lightning and The Call Of Ktulu are awesome songs.
Master Of Puppets : Really nicely put together, tight as fuck, but I've listened to it too much I'm sick of it. Highlights : Orion and the solo in Disposable Heroes.
...And Justice For All : In my opinion the best CD they've released, the production sucks (thanks to James Hetfield...), but their music got really ambitious, nearly progressive if it weren't for those songs that just never stop (title track = 9 minutes+). Blackened, ...And Justice For All, To Live Is To Die, Dyers Eve, ... the whole album is pretty good and it's a pleasure to play.
Black Album : What the fuck happened ? It's ''decent'', but they really sold out. What the hell is so good about Enter Sandman and Sad But True ? Painful...
Load : The good side of it is that it cannot possibly get worse.
Reload : Hey, what do you know ? They could actually get worse.
St. Anger : Although it's almost universally hated, the album is not that bad. Still not up to the high standards they've established with their first releases, but it's a masterpiece compared to Load and Reaload. A bit annoying, but there are a few good songs...

E.g 'House the Jack Built' - is there anything comparable to it? Very original and atmospheric song.
Metallica cult is bad. But keep your mind and ears opened and all songs will get to you.

hey duke youre right load and reload were their best albums. the rest were shit. Though gayfield's voice is bad as fuck but the music is really good on these albums.
