Re: Metallica
Pard me but When Cliff died the band never recovered. We could clearly hear is influence haunting And Justice for all ex.: To live is to die.
They were just not getting to me anymore after that!
I didn't mean to take all your sweet times i'll give it right back to ya one of these days...

Re: Metallica
Im probably the only one who thinks that S&M is their greatest work. S&M equals alot of load/reload stuff. So yeah i love those cd's aswell as Master of Puppets and Black.

I didn't really like S&M. First, there are too much songs from the black album/load/reload era which don't adapt well to an orchestrated version. I mean the songs from the first four album are just crying to be orchestrated and they did like 2 songs from Ride The Lightning, 3 from Master of Muppets (haha) and only one from ...Justice.
Also I thought the mix and production are kind of crappy. The band and the orchestra don't merge coherently. I was really disapointed when hearing S&M.

There is no such album. And the one you are probably referring to does not have 1 riff per song. Around 4-5 riffs per song and addidtional breaks and fills. Anyway Metallica is not going to make such kind of albums more...

Re: Metallica
Dudes, what are y'all talking about. Metallica has been a huge influence to ALL the new gen. bands. Every albumn is distinct and creative. In contrast to there own music, some albumns are better than others but compared to a lot of what's out there? C'mon! Metallica is freakin awesome!
I don't think, however, that we'll hear much more from them. I mean they spent the last 2X exhausting years touring. That's just what they loved to do. Now it's time for the family thing and spending some of that loot that they haven't had the time to spend. I don't think they're gonna tour like they used too. ![]()

Re: Metallica
Dude, a few years ago they came to play at the baseball stadium here in Atlanta and I got general admission tickets. Man, I got sooo close. I could see Kirk Hammett playing every note of the solo to 'Creeping Death'. Hetfield threw out some guitar pics that he played with and my girl caught one and gave it to me. I still play guitar with that pic! Metallica rules!
