4 non blondes

4 Non Blondes is an American rock band from San Francisco, California. Before the release of their first album, Roger Rocha replaces Shaunna Hall on guitar, and Dawn Richardson replaces Wanda Day on drums. Their album Bigger, Better, Faster, More! goes out in 1992 without being talked about. It's with the title What's Up? that they are successful in 1993. In 1995, Linda Perry left the group to start a solo career, the band was dissolved.

Bassist Christa Hillhouse and guitarist Shaunna Hall, roommates, meet Wanda Day, a drummer who joins the band. They play in trio until the arrival of Perry singing. According to Perry, she and Hall were at Nightbreak, a San Francisco club, and when the trio needed a singer, Perry would say she was one, and Hall would answer " I know ". Their first rehearsal was to be at 6 pm on October 17, 1989, but 5 pm an earthquake was felt in the suburbs from San Francisco >>>.

The band signed with Interscope Records in July 1991 after performing at the Gavin Convention, where he opened for Primus. Preparing the preproduction of the album, Day is returned and replaced by Richardson. In 1992, during the recording of Bigger, Better, Faster, More! the producer of the album, David Tickle, did not "not feel" the Hall guitar game that will also leave the group>. The guitarist Louis Metoyer will finish the piece. Roger Rocha joins them after the recording of the album and stays until 1994. After leaving the Blondes in 1991, Day continues on the drums with Malibu Barbi> and with Bad Dog Play Dead. Day dies on July 10, 1997, according to Christa Hillhouse, and is buried in Tropic, UT. Linda Perry leaves the group to start a solo career, the band is dissolved.
