Aqme

AqME (pronounced "akmé" ) is a French alternative metal band from Paris, Île-de-France. Formed in 1999, the band has a total of eight studio albums, two EPs, and one live album. At first, the group, formed by former musicians of the Neurosyndrom group at the end of the 1990s, recorded and published a demo entitled University of Nowhere, in December 1999. In September 2002, they released their first studio album, Dark efforts, published at the independent label At (h) ome, which launches their career. A chain of several albums follows, supporting their growing notoriety, including Polaroids and pornography (2004) and The End Times (2005). In 2006, after the release of the DVD AqME Live (s), the band decided to take a break to focus on other projects outside AqME>. In 2008, they return with the album Heresy then In honor of Jupiter (2009), Epithet, Dominion, Epitaph (2012), Staring God (2014) and AqME (2017). AqME has sold more than 120,000 records and given nearly 800 concerts. On November 11, 2018, the group announces its separation after a farewell tour in 2019, AqME celebrating the same year its 20th anniversary. On April 12, 2019, they publish their ninth and last album, Requiem. They finish their career at a last date on January 11, 2020 in Paris, at the Trianon>.
