Ace of base

Ace of Base AoB is a Swedish pop band from Gothenburg. The group is originally composed of Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg and Jonah brothers and sisters "Joker" Berggren, Malin "Linn" Berggren and Jenny Berggren. He released four studio albums between 1993 and 2002, sold more than 40 million copies worldwide. This figure makes them one of the most famous Swedish bands of all time, like ABBA or Europe.

Happy Nation - their first album - is the most profitable, certified nine times platinum record in the United States. This is the first album that ranks three singles in the top spot of the Billboard Mainstream Top 40: All That She Wants, The Sign and Do not Turn Around. Following the departure of the singer Linn in 2007, the group gives a series of concerts as a trio in Europe and Asia, between 2007 and 2009.

Jenny announces in November 2009 her final departure from the group to lead a solo career. The same year, Jonas and Ulf hire two new singers, Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson, and release the album The Golden Ratio in September 2010. The group renames Ace.of.Base the time of an album. This period is known by fans as "The Dot Era" in reference to the points added in the group name.

In 1987, after being part of a new romantic and punk band called G Konrad, Jonas Berggren formed a band with two friends, Johnny Lindén and Niklas Tränk for a school project; his sisters Linn and Jenny become the singers. The new group is formed under several names: Kalinin Prospect (after an avenue in Moscow); CAD (Computer-Aided Disco); and Tech-Noir (mix of French words "technology" and "black", after a nightclub in the movie Terminator)>. They perform several tours in Swedish clubs playing techno-oriented music in the genre The KLF and Snap !.
