Adema is an American nude metal band from Bakersfield, California. The group was formed in 2000 by singer Mark Chavez, singer and guitarist Tim Fluckey, guitarist Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo and drummer Kris Kohls. After their first two albums, Adema and Unstable, the group faces internal differences and training changes. Ransom leaves the group in 2003 because of conflict with Chavez; then Chavez in 2004 because of conflicts with the rest of the group.
Luke Caraccioli replaces Chavez at the beginning of 2005 on an album, Planets, but leaves the band a few months later, in 2005. The singer Bobby Reeves and the guitarist Ed Farris, members of the level band, are recruited to play on the album " Kill the Headlights "in 2007, before the band paused. They resume in 2009 and come out again of their silence in 2013.
It was in 2000 that Adema was formed under the leadership of Mark Chavez, half-brother of Jonathan Davis (KoRn). The band is composed of Kris Kohls, former drummer of Sex Art (first group of J.Davis) but also of Videodrone (group signed on the label founded by KoRn, Elementree), Tim Fluckey (ex-guitarist of Sex Art ), Dave DeRoo (bassist who also plays in the group Sex Art) and Mike Ramson (guitar). The latter is the only one with Mark to have no musical experience other than Adema. Despite these differences in experiences, the formation signs very quickly at Arista Records.
In August 2001, the band released their first self-titled album, Adema . Playing on his status, the young Mark allows his group to chain many first prestigious parties to increase the popularity of Adema. It includes singles Giving In and The Way You Like It , which will be frequently broadcast on local radio. All lyrics are written by Chavez>, and the album is produced by Bill Appleberry (7th House) and Tobi Miller (Wallflowers guitarist). The album is certified gold, which allows the band to take part in the Ozzfest. They also play Music as a Weapon, SnoCore Rock, and Projekt Revolution. In 2002, the Californian training came out
