He alternately sings pop and classical music and has also sung in many operas. To date, he has recorded more than a dozen classic and pop albums.

He was born with a hereditary form of glaucoma and became completely blind at the age of 12. He is one of the most famous Italian singers in the world and one of the most sold albums, with more than 80 million copies.
