Anorexia nervosa

Anorexia Nervosa is a French symphonic black metal band from Limoges. The group formed in 1995 on the initiative of Stefan Bayle, and became active during the ten years following his training despite his change of regular musical style. The band goes from experimental death metal to black metal before self-defining in the style dark nihilistic metal , a musical genre without any introduction and warming up to the violence of the music, an extreme sound from the beginning to the end of the songs and provocative and screaming words of anger.

In 2005, Anorexia Nervosa becomes inactive following the departure of singer Rose Mother Sucking Hreidmarr and finally prefers to stop her musical career.

Anorexia Nervosa was formed in 1995 in Limoges, France, on the ashes of the band Necromancia, an experimental death metal band whose initial line-up includes Stefan Bayle and Marc Zabé on guitar, Pierre Couquet on bass guitar, Stéphane Gerbaud on vocals, and Nilcas Vant on drums. At the time, the band played industrial death metal including dark wave elements adding a dark and mystical atmosphere to their music.

Necromancia produced his first demo entitled Garden of Delight in 1993>, but this opus is not successful. Not wanting to give up their musical careers, Stefan Bayle and the other members of the band then decided to remove Necromancia to make room for another project, Anorexia Nervosa, the Nihilistic Orchestra. This musical project included the same line-up as Necromancia but with a style rather turned to black metal.
