Armagedda

Armagedda is a Swedish black metal band from Norrland. Formed in 1999, the group separates in 2004.

Armagedda was formed at the beginning of 2000 by A. Petterson, but had already operated a year earlier under the name Volkermord>. The group entered the studio in mid-2000 for the recording of a demo of Volkermord which enjoyed an aggressive production; it is published in October the same year and published in 30 copies. In early 2001, they entered the studio again for the recording of their first studio album, entitled The Final War Approaching >>>.

At this time, the band changed its name to Armagedda, and recorded several songs in split with the Swedish band Svarthymn entitled In Blackest Ruin published on the underground label local Deathcult Productions. Armagedda is originally signed to the Breath of Night Records label by Andrew Harris (Akhenaten) for the release of a vinyl version in 2002, in collaboration with the German label Sombre Records. A new member, Mord, joins Armagedda in early 2001 to complete the band's line-up. Their activity lasts until 2004, with the decision of Graav and A. Petterson to dissolve the group and form a new one called Lönndom.
