As cities burn

As Cities Burn is an American post-hardcore band from Mandeville, Louisiana. They have three studio albums between 2002 and 2009. Their first album, Sound, I Loved You at Your Darkest , was released in 2005. Two years later later, they come out "Come Now Sleep" . Then, in 2009, As Cities Burn publishes their third and last album, "Hell or High Water" . In December 2017, As Cities Burn meets for a tour with Emery.

As an independent group, the group is attracting the attention of Solid State Records, a branch of Tooth and Nail Records, which signed them in 2004>. They released their first album, Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest, on June 21, 2005, and participated in the Solid State's Young Blood Tour with The Chariot, Showbread, and He Is Legend. In 2006, they tour with The Bled, Protest the Hero and Sincebyman. They play two concerts in support of their album: June 21 at Covington, Louisiana, and June 22 at Vinos, Little Rock.

Sound, I Loved You at Your Darkest is characterized by a post-hardcore sound>. The album includes aggressive screams by TJ Bonnette, and choral pieces by her younger brother, Cody Bonnette.

On March 10, 2006, the group announces the separation of As Cities Burn, but in early July - at the urging of fans - decides to stay>. His last performance is in August 2006 at the House of Blues in New Orleans. However, once again the band decides to stay, this time to record a new album. In summer 2006, what will become their last tour, they separate from the bassist Pascal Barone, shortly after announcing to stay together. For the rest of the tour, the group recruits Robert Chisolm, singer of the band Jonezetta. After the tour, the group returns home to record an album, with guitarist Colin Kimble on bass.
