Asaf Avidan was born on March 23, 1980 in Jerusalem. His parents, diplomats, work for the Israeli Foreign Ministry. This is how he spent four years of his childhood in Jamaica. Because of illness and nightmares, he only accomplishes 10 months of military service instead of the mandatory three years. He then went to study animation cinema at the "Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.

Her graduation project, a short film titled Find Love Now , won the award in her category at the Haifa Film Festival. After graduation, Asaf Avidan moved to Tel Aviv and worked in the animation industry until he separated from his long-time companion. This separation marks a turning point in his life. He resigns and returns to live in Jerusalem, where he makes his passion, music, his main activity.

He discovers he has cancer, a lymphoma, at age 21, after being examined for chronic pain.
