Betraying the Martyrs or BTM is a French metalcore band, originally from Paris, formed in 2008. Their third album, The Resilient , is published on January 27, 2017. They were previously classified as a deathcore band.
The group was formed in 2008. On November 18, 2009, Betraying the Martyrs released his first EP (The Hurt, The Divine, The Light) entirely financed by the group and mixed by Stéphane Buriez. The EP sells more than 2,000 copies in France alone>.
Betraying the Martyrs makes its first European tour, The Survivors Tour . The band plays with Whitechapel, Dark Funeral, Darkness Dynamite, A Skylit Drive, Adept, Despised Icon, Dance Gavin Dance, While She Sleeps and Shadows Chasing Ghosts.
In 2011, the group is working on their first album, and quickly sign up for Sumerian Records for North America and Listenable Records for Europe. Between April and May 2011, the group is making its second European tour, "Breathe in Life Tour" , to promote their first album. The tour passes through Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The first parts are made by the Russian deathcore group, My Autumn and Despite My Deepest Fear. In November and December, the band toured the United States with the groups Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Carnifex and Struc / tures.
