Black stone cherry

Black Stone Cherry is an American alternative metal band from Edmonton, Kentucky. They signed with Roadrunner Records, then with Mascot Records in 2015.

The band consists of Chris Robertson (vocals, guitar), Ben Wells (guitar, backing vocals), John Lawhon (bass guitar, backing vocals), and John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals), son of rhythm guitarist Richard Young (from The band Kentucky Headhunters). In 2017, Black Stone Cherry has four studio albums and three EPs.

The Black Stone Cherry Group is formed in Edmonton, Kentucky. Chris Robertson and John Fred Young, the son of Richard Young, Kentucky Headhunters rhythm guitarist, start playing together early in their teens, and Jon and Ben follow quickly. Black Stone Cherry officially forms on June 4, 2001.

They begin to rehearse in the studio (since 1968) Kentucky Headhunters and record some titles. They then return to Edmonton for a concert in their high school gym, attended by 1500 people. To celebrate the release of their first EP, the principal of their high school invites them for a big concert organized by the school. However, as the group entered the city, they were amazed to see that the streets were covered with signs of welcome.
