Boys Night Out ( BNO ) is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario. Formed in 1998, the group pauses in 2007, before returning eight years later in 2015
The band is formed in 1998> when singer Connor Lovat-Fraser and guitarist Jeff Davis collaborate to record songs. They end up publishing a four-title EP-demo called You Are My Canvas, inspired by the Canadian post-hardcore Grade group. After the release of this demo, the group signs to the One Day Savior Records label and publishes the EP Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses in 2002 >>>.
The interest for the group is immediate, and the latter sign to the label Ferret Records. Their first album, Make Yourself Sick, published in 2003>, is pop punk oriented but is characterized by the same screams and guitars that made their first opus. The band then toured with My Chemical Romance, Catch 22, Saves the Day, and appeared on the Warped Tour. Boys Night Out also plays the Fusion Tour with Fall Out Boy, Motion City Soundtrack, The Starting Line, and Panic! at the Disco.
Their second studio album, Trainwreck, released in 2005, is an experimental concept album dedicated to a man who has lost his mind. Trainwreck begins with a doctor's speech. The band releases its third album, the eponymous Boys Night Out, on June 26, 2007. The first single is titled Up with Me. The EP Fifty Million People Can not Be Wrong is also released in 2007. That same year, they decide to take a break.
