Brain drill

Brain Drill is an American technical death metal band from Santa Cruz, California. They are signed at Metal Blade Records. They released their first album, titled "Apocalyptic Feasting" , on February 5, 2008. In the early days, the band broke up with disagreements and broke up. supposedly in 2008.

Founding member Dylan Ruskin explains that originally Brain Drill dissolves when the remaining three members leave, but the band forms a new line-up. Steve Rathjen joined less than two weeks after his departure. Also, a new drummer named Joe Bondra (later replaced by Ron Casey), and a new bassist named Ivan Munguia joins the band. Brain Drill then released another album, Quantum Catastrophe , in 2010 with this line-up.

Brain Drill was formed in 2005 as a side project by guitarist Dylan Ruskin after the departure of his band Burn at the Stake. Ruskin then starts looking for a drummer and finds Marco Pitruzzella (who has played for several death metal bands such as Vital Remains, Vile, The Faceless and other extreme metal bands). After a few months of dating, singer Steve Rathjen joins the band. The band then goes to Castle Ultimate Studios with producer Zack Ohren, and records a six-track EP "The Parasites between March and May 2006>. Shortly after the recording, Rathjen left the band and was replaced by the former Dead Syndicate singer, Andre Cornejo. Former Vile bassist Jeff Hughell joins the group as a permanent member. Rathjen returns to the group shortly thereafter.

In an interview in 2007, Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster recommended Brain Drill to Metal Blade Records, with whom the group signed a contract soon after. The group returns to Castle Ultimate Studios with the same producer, Zack Ohren, but this time to record their first album. It is registered in August 2007 and marketed on February 5, 2008>.
